Project Director
The Project Director has overall administrative responsibility for the
operation of all phases of the program. The Director will serve as
chairman of the advisory board which governs policy and curriculum change
as HCOP interfaces with the professional schools at West Virginia
University.

Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator provides daily direction and coordination to the
project and works with students throughout the year as advisor and mentor.
The Coordinator plans and coordinates the summer activities with the
faculty and HCOP staff and oversees the Sr. Program Coordinators as they run the
programs. The Coordinator conducts seminars and classes.
The Project Coordinator serves on the admissions committee in the School
of Medicine and is responsible to the Director for all personnel actions.
Under this grant, the Project Coordinator acts as a non-voting HCOP advisory board member,
lending direction and expertise to the decision making body.

Sr. Program Coordinator
The Sr. Program Coordinator is responsible for administering all activities
related to the HCOP Program that includes program planning, organization,
implementation and evaluation of the HCOP Programs during the summer and
academic year.
Other responsibilities include procurement of
funding from outside sources; maintaining a close working relationship
with West Virginia University (WVU), Maryland colleges and HCOP Partners;
securing subcontracts; providing
technical preparation and submission of reports as required; managing
operating budgets, payroll, and expenditures; supervising HCOP staff and students; and
monitoring student progress, grades, etc. during the
academic year and summer months

Program Assistant II.
The Project Assistant provides office support and special initiatives
support to the project. The Assistant works closely with the Sr.
Program Coordinator to ensure continuous coverage of
needs.

Instructors are full-time
employees of HCOP during the six-week Preliminary Education summer
session. They teach, hold office hours, supervise study halls, etc.,
interacting with the students both academically and socially.
